Who is at risk?
Between living at home, working in an office or riding inside a car, most people spend more than 92 percent of their time breathing indoor air. So for many of us, indoor air pollution poses a bigger health risk than outdoor pollution. And for children the dangers are even greater: They breathe in 50 percent more air per pound of body weight than adults do.

What causes indoor air quality problems?
Indoor air hazards come from a variety of sources. These include:
+ Living organisms such as mold, mildew, roaches and dust mites
+ Machine-produced gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide
+ Other indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde, asbestos and chemicals from cleaning products.

of prefab furniture and carpets emit dangerous VOCs.

Indoor air quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality inside and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of people.
Indoor air quality is important because exposure to pollutants and contaminants can have a negative impact on short- and long-term health. The primary causes of indoor air quality problems originate from gases and/or particles that build up in poorly ventilated buildings or when temperature or humidity levels rise and cause a concentration of pollutants.
Improving Your Air with CosaTron
Health impact from air pollutants can be experienced immediately after exposure but sometimes take years to show up.
Common immediate health effects from indoor air pollution include irritation to the eyes, nose and throat, and can include headache, dizziness and fatigue. These symptoms are usually treatable and pass quickly. Long term effects include respirator disease, heart disease and cancer and can be severely debilitating or fatal.
Improving Your Air with CosaTron
Outdoor air needs to ventilated and moved through a building to maintain indoor air quality. Air movement happens naturally when a window is opened and the temperature differences creates a natural ‘wind’. In larger buildings or when outside air is polluted infiltration and mechanical ventilations systems are required so that a controlled air replacement, exchange and circulation process is achieved.
Improving Your Air with CosaTron
The CosaTron Air Purification System is a clean air technology that works. CosaTron Systems treat the air, making the fine particles larger, so they can be removed by the ventilation system. CosaTron is installed as a component of your HVAC system, it enhances the performance of your filters, making them more efficient, without generating ozone or ionizing the air; leaving behind only fresh, clean, recirculated air!
IAQ 101
The EPA designed indoor air quality (IAQ) as a term which refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants.

IAQ and your ventilation system
If not enough outside air enters a building pollutants can build up inside to such an extent that they cause discomfort and possible health problems.

The answer to cleaner, healthier indoor air is using particle physics to clear the air.
